NASRO Endorses John Kerry for President
Waltham, MA - NASRO is endorsing John Kerry for President
of the United States. As a business association advocating
for small businesses and self employed people, we find that
John Kerry has demonstrated he understands our problems
and is fighting for our interests.
John Kerry understands that we need to get our economy
really moving again at the grassroots level. Our current
President, George Bush has failed to address in four years
the problem of declining income that our members face as
a result of a weak economy.
John Kerry understands that our members incomes are many
times declining due to the doubling of health insurance
premium costs over the past five years. As people in business,
the fact of record earnings by the leading health insurance
companies this past year, while we suffer, has not escaped
us.
Our current President, George Bush and his party who control
all the institutions of power in Washington, have ignored
us, helped the big insurance companies, the drug companies
and insult our intelligence by offering us catastrophic
health plans with health savings accounts as the only realistic
remedy to the problem.
While our current President, George Bush is a major disappointment
with his record in domestic policy, in foreign policy his
work has brought the reputation of the United States to
its lowest level in the history of the country. He has recklessly
twisted and used the nation's rage over the 911 attacks
by the Al Queda terrorist group, into an excuse for invading
Iraq, a major country in the critically important oil producing
region of the Middle East.
The result of our troops remaining in Iraq has been massive
resistance from Iraq, whose people believe the United States
is there to take control of their oil. Eleven hundred of
our soldiers and over 20,000 people from Iraq have paid
for this reckless adventure with their lives.
We believe that John Kerry, the man we have know from his
actions since 1971 is not interested in stealing the oil
from Iraq. We think most of the world knows this fact as
well, and that is why John Kerry will get us out of the
Iraq quagmire and will get us back to the task of concentrating
our efforts to fighting the people who used the weapons
of terror against us.
