Who We Are

NASRO is a non-profit community organization of individual self employed people, small businesses, non-profits and employees. First organized in 1992 by its founder and executive director, Robert Gaw, NASRO has continued to broaden its appeal as it learned of more groups that are not having their interests protected or their views reflected by the existing business associations.

Robert Gaw grew up in Walpole, Massachusetts, went to undergraduate and graduate school at Catholic University in Washington DC, worked as a labor and community organizer in Boston, Detroit, Washington DC, Reno and Charlotte. He worked in health plan management for eight years, building NASRO in California and returned home to Massachusetts in 2001.
